Riffing on Picasso

Riffing on Picasso is an improvisational joyride based on Pablo Picasso’s 1946 still life, Nature morte au compotier de fruits, guitare et bouteille. I start with a single image, break it down, bend, blend, and reassemble it again and again. It’s visual jazz: rhythmic, spontaneous, open-ended, each iteration a visual riff.
